The LRC believes the answer to the current crisis of capitalism is NOT to inflict the "deeper and tougher" Thatcherite cuts which Alisdair Darling has warned of. The answer is socialist policies and making those responsible for the economic downturn pay. Not inflicting punishment on the rest of us...... To tie in with the General Election we have produced our own pamphlet on where a future statement on where Labour should be heading. Details here...........

Eh? There is no crisis of capitalism. One of its main attractions is that unlike the totalitarian grip of the state which your economic philosophy inevitably leads to and under which the 'controllers' can admit to no error, capitalism corrects itself. There is pain and distress but like cauterizing a wound it is necessary, and infinitely preferable to socialist stasis.

It's all well and good coming out with all this rhetoric Susan but what notice will the Cabinet take of this Pamphlet produced by the LRC?
On the other hand, you could read 'modernisation by consent' and other excellent 'Compass' produced materials. Stuff I know the New Labour Stooges at no. 10 take really seriously.
