Even by my grim standards, I seem to have been passing on unremitting gloom from this neck of the woods. So I would just like to wish my readers a happy May Day. My most memorable one was 20 years ago in Leningrad in front of the Winter Palace on an official platform.
Today is a rather more muted affair but I will be enjoying a nice lunch with a friend cooked by my good self and tomorrow heading to Leeds for the traditional May Day march and rally. Wherever you are, comrades, have a good day.......
