Labour Home is running an extraordinary tale that the new General Secretary - the filthy rich David Pitt Watson - may not after all be taking up his post. So well done all those NEC New Labour apparatchiks who lobbied for a City businessman over a trade unionist. You really couldn't ( apologies for sounding like Richard Littlejohn) make it up.....
