Well done all those who stood firm: PA now reports the anti-war protesters are being allowed to march on Parliament this afternoon, calling for British troops to be withdrawn from Iraq.
Police had threatened to ban demonstrators from walking down Whitehall to Parliament.
But less than an hour before the march was due to start, organisers were apparently told it would be allowed to go ahead.

Can't see any mention of the march on the BBC site?
The BBC not generally brilliant these days at reporting anti-war protests tho if there had been trouble suppose they would have done......
Excellent stuff.
The Mirror and so on had it pretty promptly. I'm very surprised if the BBC didn't have it. You're not the same anonymous 14:51 who was on my comments with fibs about CPS and Google News earlier too?
