A GREAT DAY TO GO OUT CAMPAIGNING?

If you are a Labour Party member then you will have received, like me, an e-mail urging you to join the big Campaign Day tomorrow. What fantastic timing....... Cabinet Ministers fighting like rats in a sack over who did what in the dodgy donations scandal, talk of Jack Straw replacing Brown as "caretaker "Prime Minister, knives out for Harriet Harman, Labour 11 points behind in the opinion polls. None of which detracts from the fact that 99.99 per cent of Party members are of course honest, hard-working and committed and have absolutely nothing to do with this mess. But the latest farrago is not one from which we are going to recover quickly. As it happens, I have pressing work commitments tomorrow and cannot go out leafletting ( or whatever) . The best of luck to those who do because they are going to need it......

Did two hours on the knocker this afternoon Susan. No luck required. Just two hours was all. Enjoyed it as ever. Obviously some againsts. But mostly for ... including some quite unlikely individuals.
