ANOTHER WEEK, ANOTHER REBELLION , ANOTHER SURRENDER

No details yet but only 17 Labour rebels apparently stood firm on the Planning Bill controversy which hands over crucial decisions on airports, nuclear power stations etc to an unelected quango. There were supposed to be 63.........Groundhog Day isn't it ?
UPDATE: The rebels were........Colin Burgon (Elmet), Colin Challen (Morley & Rothwell), Jeremy Corbyn (Islington North), Jim Cousins (Newcastle upon Tyne Central), David Drew (Stroud), Paul Flynn (Newport West), John Grogan (Selby), Kate Hoey (Vauxhall), John McDonnell (Hayes & Harlington), Bob Marshall-Andrews (Medway), Michael Meacher (Oldham West & Royton), Gordon Prentice (Pendle), Alan Simpson (Nottingham South), David Taylor (Leicestershire North West), Paul Truswell (Pudsey), Mike Wood (Batley & Spen).

Its easy to support your team when they are winning

but the start of the fightback starts when you cannot get any lower

Cameron spent time studying NEW Labour not politics but tatics

Apart from political issues we have we need to find a voice for Left Wing politics (in its general non sectarian way)

We are lucky to have the Morning Star but we need to have a large platform for a Left of centre/Green agenda ......probably on the Net

probably backed by the unions....
but it needs to be broad based and non sectarian

Problem being Robert is that I don't see anyone better to vote for. I certainly don't think the Tories would be an improvement and I'm not convinced by Clegg.

You really are a reactionary aren’t you? Do you have "the old ways are the best" as your motto? No one can pretend that the current planning system has anything much to do with democracy; it's the plaything of lawyers, expert witnesses and professional lobbyists many of whom see it just as a nice little earner.

No wonder we can’t get any decent housing or infrastructure built; it’s all bogged down for decades in the planning process.

I thought lefties were supposed to welcome reform and change? Perhaps you're just getting old...

Yes the reform to have twenty wind turbines stuck in your garden because EDF thought it would help.

Democracy is the right to fight for what you believe is right.
