... Are allegedly the ringleaders of the e-mail plot to oust Gordon Brown. Do I believe that? Probably, yes. The don't seem to get it that re-arranging the deckchairs on the Titanic, without changing the direction the ship is going in, matters not a jot.

How do you think they changed direction since Howard, Hague and IDS?
Simple. They haven't. In fact if you look at their position in Europe they're even more right wing now.
Unlikely since both are in the Middle East at the moment. Other names in the frame are Charles Clarke, Paul Farrely and a certain Mr McDonnell.
The Guardian today makes clear that the Left is not involved in this plot. And, given it allegedly has been done by e-mail, geographical proximity to Westminster is a red herring
Brown should announce hes standing down of expenses and urge Cameron to join him
The odious Purnell has just resigned, and stabbed Brown, who over promoted the shit, in the back, a BLAIRITE coup is in process, time for John Mcdonnell, the labour left, such as it is, etc to raise his/its head above the parapet surely.
The thing is that the main complaints against brown are not based on policy, but his ability to communicate.
I find it rather depressing that media or rather TV-friendliness seems to be the major qualification for senior political office
