There are not many 83-year-old left-wingers who get positive coverage and picture spreads in the Mail On Sunday but LRC supporter and octogenarian Tony Benn manages to do exactly that today by publicising his "front-bencher" - a contraption he has invented to enable him to sit down while waiting for trains, taxis or whatever. A story which truly epitomises the silly season.........and Benn's now offiicial status as a National Treasure
