Apologies for lack of posting. Computer hell would be putting it mildly. So what to make of Gordon's speech? I gave my views to the BBC........ some welcome stuff. Increases to maternity leave, more council housing, money for tuition . Rousing stuff to cheer the troops..unles they are in Iraq. No electioneering, no obvious call to arms. Don't expect an election any time soon.. Gordon's far too canny to risk that one. The computer hell continmues.... bloggers area set to close and my laptopo STILL isn't working

It's a matter of opinion, of course, but I think he would be mad not to go for it now. Governments only ever become *less* popular as time goes by, not least because the news usually gets 'worserer and worserer'. Ask James Callaghan!
