GREED IS NOT GOOD

How much money does John Prescott need? Not content with a handsome pension and ongoing role in the Council of Europe, Prescott clearly concerned at the prospect of no longer being at Westminster as he is now touting himself around as an after-dinner speaker. The mind frankly boggles at the notion of anyone parting with hard-earned cash to hear him murder the English language but there you have it. A mere £10,000 to £25,000 a pop should guarantee you a night out with Two Jags - who wouldn't jump at it.

I write this in sorrow more than anger as , naively, for many years I harboured a sad illusion that Prescott still retained some kind of credibility as a Labour man. But that was before the TT races with Tracey Temple.
