Some good news at thr weekend as it was announced 500 British troops are to pull out of Basra palace , with withdrawal from the city itself expected in the autumn. yesterday, the Sunday Times predicted Gordon Brown would use his first Westminster statement of the autumn to announce some kind of exit strategy. Let's hope they are right.
