A problematic evening.Lift home cancelled then managed to get the wrong bus in Halifax. Paid £10.00 to get taxi back from Ripponden and almost ended up in car crash (literally) to find we have second inquorate Branch meeting in a row. You could say it's a microcosm of the state of the Labour Party.You could say it's all seriously depressing.Given the pronouncements on 10p tax etc, anyone surprised? Hey, Gordon, this is how it is at the grassroots.But at least am alive........

Do you think that the fact that branch meeting was inquorate reflects badly on GB personally (obviously it's all down to him!) or the branch itself? HB should be an active, vibrant branch given the number of members. Given the current 'state' of affairs and backbiting if people aren't of the same political views as the LRC it's hardly surprising active party members give it a miss and prefer campaigning in other wards!
