GWYNETH DUNWOODY DIES

I'm sad to hear of the death of Gwyneth Dunwoody. I met her a couple of years ago at her office in Crewe when doing a piece for Cheshire Life and she was a feisty and fairly fearsome woman who offered me tea and chocolates and her thoughts on Tony Blair and New Labour. Some of them I could not use in the article....... She was no left-winger, but an independent soul who in recent years spoke out on many issues and had a bit of spark. There are few MPs like her left. Today, Tony Benn is among those paying tributes
